So, this week I've been doing some cleaning and organizing. Exploring new options for this here blog. I'm making the transition over to Word Press. Scary, I know. I've been here on Blogger for almost 5 years now, yikes! Going to give this Word Press a try and see how it goes. Please come over and read along with us. http://chardewey.wordpress.com. I'll still keep this one active for the time being, until something changes. I will be posting the most current posts over there. So head on over!
Thanks!

New Name & Look
Making some improvements and updates to the page. Changed the name, thedeweymess.blogspot.com since it is no longer just Josh and I :) Also, gave the page some new colors and looks. Hope you like it! (Thanks for the suggestion Leota!)
So after tonight if you follow this blog you'll want to update your settings and point our blog to thedeweymess.blogspot.com . I'm not sure if it will still send you updates if you have our old address.
Have a great rest of your weekend!

New same, same place
As our lives will be changing in a short 4 1/2 months...wow, another topic all in itself right there...I think a new name for our blog is in order. As our family has grown now to 3, counting Lucy of course, and will soon grow to 4 with Baby Dewey coming in September, I think a new name rather than just "Josh and Char" is in the works.
I love being a part of the blog community. While this blog started out to keep friends and family up to date on our lives and live through pictures it has grown to showing our adventures as we got married and started a new life in Arizona, as well as my cooking extravaganza! Now as we grow once again as a family I think "Josh and Char" just doesn't quite capture all of us. So look for a new name to come in the near future.
In other news...4 1/2 months?! Wow it seems like time has flown by so far. Of course when I was sick and miserable it seemed like time would never move an inch. Funny how those are the times we want to go by faster and then time goes too fast when we are enjoying it all. Overall I'm really enjoying my pregnancy. Each new milestone is exciting to me. I get so excited for each new week to come and love the email updates I get "You are now in week...." and learning all about how Baby and I are changing.
One thing I noticed, or commented about yesterday, was the fact that I eat quite often because I'm hungry. It came to me, "I guess this is good practice making myself eat every 2 hours, not that I need to make my self right now, because when the baby comes Baby will eat probably every 2 hours." Just a thought to myself the other day, and now to all of you.

This week was a turning point
Not anything major, but somewhat of a big deal to me at least. I think (think being the keyword here) that I might, just might, be over this nausea and all-day sickness feeling of pregnancy. I'm not getting too excited yet, but in the last 3 days I've actually wanted to eat and been hungry. Woohoo! So here's to hoping and crossing my fingers. I still eat pretty often just to try to avoid the feeling but I'm hoping I'll start to really enjoy pregnancy now, ha!
On another note, upon following my lovely friend Amy's blog Eating with my Mouth Open She has been doing a weekly post on Friday called "Random *Ridays" where she encourages people to post something random that has been on your mind all week. I've wanted to post and be involved in this but I haven't been posting regularly and haven't had a whole lot on my mind, besides NOT getting sick. So I encourage you to follow her blog, she's an AMAZING cook and whips up some great meals, and also check out her Random *Ridays posts.
Here's what's been on my mind this week:
Not necessarily this type of cottage cheese, but cottage cheese nonetheless and strawberries oh my! I'm hooked on them. Pregnancy craving or healthy eating?! Possibly both, but I'm a pretty healthy eater anyway so this isn't really out of the norm for me. Just glad to be eating foods I like and want to eat for a change.
Happy Eating! :)

Back in the saddle again
I thought that title was kinda catchy. I've been out of the loop, and out of the state, for about a week on a work-training trip to Oklahoma but I'm back home now. I have a lot of catching up to do, as well as reading a lot of your wonderful blogs, a pile of laundry, grocery shopping list and some meals to think of. My wonderful husband did help and keep the house fairly cleaned while I was gone, which was so awesome of him. I sure did miss him and my Lucy, and they missed me :)
I'll see you all very soon!

Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner!
I've been following this lovely blog by Hanna at bouffe e bambini and absolutely love reading her daily posts. She has all of these great shops that she promotes from her site that are handmade items. Gorgeous! She occassionally has giveaways and you can enter to win some of the great handmade items she shows. Well, I entered a while back in early December and I won!
Take a look at her post about the giveaway from Bebeloosh Mini Giveaway. The Etsy shop that sponsored this and the creator of these wonderful little bags is Elena Berlo by BebelooshMini. Hop over to her Etsy shop to see these cute little bags.
I won 3 of the reuseable sandwich and snack bags that are made from 55% recycled hemp and 45% organic unbleached cotton and beautifully decorated. The fabric is a mix of hemp & organic cotton and it feels and looks so durable. The closure is a velcro top. She has so many other items on her store site that are great. I'm excited to use mine. I got to choose the 3 designs that I won and here they are:
These bags are so wonderful. I've used them all week for my lunch and they're really cute!
Thanks again Hanna!
