Our Visitors aka Family

About 3 weeks ago (wow already?!) we had some visitors come. My mom, step dad and brother all drove down from Colorado and stayed for a week! It was so nice to have them here, it really felt like we were back home in Colorado just hanging out.

I didn't take too many pictures, some on my phone that I'll share with you. We mostly just enjoyed spending time together. Drove around to show them the area, saw lots of areas around Phoenix, had some tasty food at Rula Bula (local irish pub & restaurant - Yum!) and spent a whole day walking around old town Scottsdale. So much fun!

A day spent in Scottsdale. We all had a blast and it was so much fun!

Apparently it was too cold in the pool for the boys, so they went to the hot tub. How funny!

Stopped by an old car dealership and found this little "ride". My brother was so intrigued by it. Actually thinking of buying it! Yes, it is a bar stool set up on a go-cart base. Get's up to 35 mph!

Took lots of photos with the phone camera and some pretty random photos too.

I had a blast! Thank you guys for coming to visit!

How fast does hair grow?!

I've been pretty well known to have long hair for quite some time. And back in high school I'd cut about 8 inches off every summer and start over. About 2 years ago I cut off 12 inches to donate and here we are again with long hair.

I have some help growing mine this time: hormones.
So what's it gonna be? I'm 5 1/2 months along. If I cut 4-5 inches off do you think it will grow back before September? I'm not too scared to lose the length, but I don't want to go super short.  A nice healthy cut would be nice, especially since it will be 115 degrees here soon and I'll need all the help I can take to stay cool.

We'll see what happens. But I'll likely cut my hair. Looking for a new change.

Munchkin Adventure

I realize this post is overdue...my bad! Finally had some time to get caught up...

Well our weekend after Thanksgiving was our second round of Thanksgiving having Josh's parents coming to visit us. Our first Thanksgiving was back on Halloween when my parents came.

What we didn't know was that we had another visitor coming along. I came home from work that day and in walked Josh, his dad AND Kayden (our nephew, Steph's son). Oh my gosh I nearly cried with tears of joy as I was so excited to see him! We both had no idea. That was Kayden's first real airplane ride, that he will remember. We flew with him when he was only2 weeks old but he doesn't remember that.

We spent the weekend hanging out, sleeping in the tent in the living room, riding the light rail train to downtown Phoenix and going out to eat. I'm sure he had a blast and so did we. The joke the whole weekend was from comedian Jeff Dunham's skit where he call's Jeff "Jeff-fa-fa". So we called each other Jeff-fa-fa all weekend. I told Kayden to call his mom that when he got home, and he did :)

When Kayden first got there he wanted to be right by his Auntie Char & Uncle Joshy's side the entire time. We played with anything and everything in sight and chased Lucy around the house. Lucy had a great time with him, not too overwhelmed like I thought she would be :) We miss you Kayden and can't wait for you to bring your mommy & daddy back with you!
